Christmas Eve

Saturday, December 24thnativityscene

Christmas can be a magical time of year. Too often, however, busy schedules, family drama, and holiday traffic are the ways we celebrate.  This year, you are invited to set aside an hour and celebrate the season with carols, candlelight, and the story of Jesus’ birth.

3:00 pm – Children and Family Worship

This year, we are offering a special 3:00 pm Children and Family Christmas Celebration. This special worship will be oriented toward the kids, but will capture the heart of anyone who believes in Christmas. Before you spend hours trying to get the young ones fed and to bed, come and hear the story of the first Christmas told in a way that will keep the interest of young and old alike. Children will be encouraged to participate with carol singing and unwrapping some special gifts that help tell the story. The kids can even come dressed in pajamas, if that helps get the evening bedtime ritual started. You are invited to come as you are and enjoy this 45- to 50-minute worship celebration together as a family.

7:00 pm – Traditional Candlelight Worship

Our traditional candlelight service is still family friendly, but will include the final installment of December’s Sermon Series “The Journey” and will end with a candlelight singing of Silent Night. This service is a great way to remember the true meaning of Christmas and prepare your hearts before the presents, food, and football of Christmas Day. This service will last about an hour, and will also include a short time just for the kids.
